First as the major of New Donk City in Super Mario Odyssey, but later also as a playable character in Mario Tennis Aces and Mario Golf: Super Rush. However, since the release of Super Mario Odyssey, she's made relevant return in the Mario series. But after Super Mario Bros., she's been largely obscure and unknown, only appearing in the Mario vs. Pauline was the original damsel in distress of the Mario franchise, debuting as the princess that needed to be saved in the original Donkey Kong game. After his first debut as a playable character in „Mario Superstar Baseball“ (2005), he became a fan-favorite and also got playable in other spin-offs of the Mario series.

Honestly, who doubts in the return of a playable Diddy Kong? He's only been playable in two of the most recent Mario Party games, but yet he feels just as classic as playables like Donkey Kong or Wario, etc.
